Treasures
Remember a couple posts ago, I told you about our newly required vigilance in cleaning out Iliya's pockets before we wash his clothes?  I really wasn't kidding!  Tonight, before his bath, Iliya insisted on cleaning out his pockets himself. He lovingly took each item out of his pocket and handed it to me.  I thought you might like to see the treasures yourself...this is pretty representative of what we gather on a regular basis.

Here, we have a piece of bark, 2 acorns, a rock, and a seed of some sort.

I was also just notified by the resident laundry-doer (yes, that would be Nathan) that there is now a clean green bouncy-ball in our house.  I think I may have to give said laundry-doer another lesson in cleaning out the 3-year old's pockets before doing putting clothes in the washer! :)

I find all sorts of treasures in Slugger's pockets, too. It must be a boy thing. And, considering that Slugger is almost 12, your resident "laundry-doer" better get used to emptying pockets for many years to come. I once washed a treasure called a mini Sharpie marker. Yeah. Big mess.

I must admit that the bark in the picture looked suspicious before I read it's identity. ;) He is 150% boy. Undiscovered crayon or chapstick is the worst. We've lost more articles of clothing to those two ...

Laughed at this post as we too are finding unexpected items in the laudry. Sometimes they are just squeaky clean and other times they are unrecognizable. Glad that we aren't the only ones :o)

Oh my gosh! I thought the thing in the background looked like poop! heehee Glad it was a rock or bark or something :)

Love how Iliya still likes to collect things and hold onto them. He is so precious.
