We may or may not ever be able to make an announcement that "we're pregnant"...but we have come to understand that the blessing is the fact that however parenthood happens, it is a miracle! ....... Now we have been home with our precious blessing from Russia since August 2007. Join us on our fun and crazy ride that we call "life with this child of mine."

Tagged!
Several weeks ago, Jane & Alicia both tagged me for a photo post.  The rules of the tag were to post the 4th photo in your 4th folder on your computer.  Being the huge blog slacker that I am, I let a lot of time go by, thinking I'd get to it "tomorrow."

Well, several "tomorrows" have gone by, and here I am, finally posting!  But there's a twist to what I'm doing.  You see, I don't have one place I keep pictures.  It all depends on the "type" of picture as to where I will keep it...if it's a family picture, it goes in one place...if it's a semipro pic, it goes somewhere else.  But even within those categories, I have different places and a very intricate "filing" system (that, like my blog, I've fallen behind on & in the midst of everything else am trying to catch up on).

So having said that, I was editing some pictures tonight when I remembered about my tag.  So I took the 4th photo in the folder I was in at the time, and am posting it.

This is a walking stick that we saw at my parents' house during the first part of November.  I think Iliya really thought it was cool - in a strange sort of way.  I've always been fascinated by these insects!

I wasn't thinking unworthy thoughts about you for not participating. I know life has been full for you lately. I'm glad you got to it though. I've seen these in the kids' science book and on Discovery channel programs but that is cool that you have them for real in the south. We have mosquitos, mosquitos, and really big mosquitos. You have to be pretty ornery to survive the long, cold, dark winters .. the walking stick must be too amiable a critter for the north country. Not sure what that says about mwa?!...

never heard of a walking stick before. but then again, I must confess that little critters are not my thing unless they happen to get caught in my lens when photographing flowers. this little guy looks like a cousin to the praying mantis.?.
Way cool pic...do you ever put your camera down, or are you like me and always snapping?
