For Halloween, Iliya was...
Asleep!

Halloween is not one of my most favorite holidays (the holidays that follow are my favorite)...and my relative apathy about the holiday, along with the fact that we would be traveling on Halloween night...AND that Iliya doesn't "get" Halloween, yet...AND that none of us need candy right now...we chose to not participate in Halloween festivities.

I had considered traveling and then trick-or-treating for a few minutes once we got home Friday night, but it's really a good thing that we didn't plan on that.

We hit the road and after we ate a bite, we were traveling by 6:00.  By 6:15, I looked in the back seat and Iliya was fast asleep.  I woke him up and put a DVD in, which kept him awake until about 7:15.  And I didn't fight it after that.  We got home, put him in pj's, and in bed.

He slept till 7:30 Saturday morning.

I think we can safely say it was a Happy Halloween for all involved.

I'm glad to hear we're not the only ones. I'm not crazy about Halloween either. We didn't do anything this year, because Eli just would have been frightened. (He's not comfortable with people he doesn't know, and that's when they're not wearing a costume!) Looking forward to having a very happy Thanksgiving!

I feel ya on this holiday. really, who needs any of the sugary goods?!? and so much of it is just crazy! yes, dressing up for little ones can be fun, but can't it revolve around something other than CANDY?!? (maybe it's my current downsizing, or the witches thing, but I really don't like the holiday either.)

I can understand not worrying about Halloween. It is stressful having to get it all together after work. I always enjoy it, but we only make a few stops to our families and close friends.

Loved the water pics.

Sounds like the little guy was tuckered out! He makes a pretty adorable sports star though. Know what you mean about elections too. I'll be so glad when today is over. We can possibly sit down to eat dinner without being interrupted by 3-4 political survey calls. Apparently those folks don't have to adhere to the 'do not call' lists?!
