Update on "The Change"
This post is going to be short & sweet, but Iliya and I have finished Day 2 of our new transition.  We are exhausted but everything is going really well!

I really don't have the energy to go through all the details, but very quickly...

Day One:  We are both doing okay. The separation was difficult this morning - we both cried, but I made it to the car before I broke down (I realize now, that I didn't really have a TRUE transition when I left him @ his "old" school - b/c I knew everyone there and could go check on him whenever I wanted/needed to).  His new school works a lot with military families & kids who undergo a LOT of transitions, so I honestly feel like he's in a very good place.  When I went to pick him up, Iliya's teacher said he had a a few moments of anxiety that they had to work through, but overall, he had a great day. He was very happy and had actually just pooped :)  That's a good sign, since he's usually gets constipated when he's stressed.

As for me, I had an awesome day. It's going to take a little bit for me to get into the swing of things but I really think I'm going to really enjoy coming to work everyday!

Day Two: Iliya woke up in a great mood this morning and talked a lot about going to his "new" school.  He cried for just a few minutes when I left him...but at the end of the day, when I picked him up, his teacher said he did really well (pooped again :) today.  So far, I'm very happy with our choice of a school for Iliya.

As for me, I'm overwhelmed, but in a good way.  I think it will take time for me to get my brain around everything I'll be doing with my job...but I really feel like I'll enjoy it!

And an update on Nathan's job...he'll be transferred officially on October 15th.  Now, if our house will sell, we'll be all set.  Please continue to keep us in your prayers as we continue with this new life adventure.  I'll update as I can and hopefully will be back in a good blogging routine in the very near future. :)

I am so glad that you had a link to 'transition' so that I could catch up. Somehow I missed all that. Whoa! Where have I been? I will pay closer attention in the future.

Sounds like Iliya is at a great school where he'll be doted on for a while. I'm so glad you're as excited as you are about your job - makes the transition that much easier!

I'm glad the transition is going well. It is always hard to make the initial adjustment, but it sounds like you and Iliya are doing fine. I look forward to hearing more about your job...and Nathan's too.

Just checking in halfway around the world to see how things are going. Sounds like it's good so far and I'm glad to hear that Nathan got a transfer. Now I just need to send some "sell that house" vibes your way and you'll be all set.
