We may or may not ever be able to make an announcement that "we're pregnant"...but we have come to understand that the blessing is the fact that however parenthood happens, it is a miracle! ....... Now we have been home with our precious blessing from Russia since August 2007. Join us on our fun and crazy ride that we call "life with this child of mine."

Overheard in the Car
Iliya:  Mama, hold me.....  Hold me, mama.

Mama: Iliya, we are in the car, with our seatbelts on.  I can't hold you.  Here, I tell you what.  I'll hold your hand.

Iliya:  No... no mama.  Hold my body.

how precious is that! love the way almost-three-year-olds think! I think he has the English language down...way to go on the body parts :)!

working in the church nursery every week, it's great to see children developing before my eyes and learning new skills so quickly.

I love it. Very good communication too. It is both a curse and a blessing when they start speaking well enough to make their preferences known.
