We had a very busy Thanksgiving weekend. It involved a
lot of travel, but we had a really great time. Plenty of food was eaten by all, and guess how many pictures I took of the festivities?
I'm ashamed to admit, zero.
I guess I'm easing into wanting to enjoy all the moments instead of feeling like I have to take pictures of every moment. I still enjoy taking the pictures, but I feel less pressure to take fifteen bazillion pictures of everything. But zero? That's pitiful.
I did, however, take my camera to the
annual tree hunt, which was fun, as usual. We had a new addition to the hunt this year - my future brother-in-law. I guess you could say he's been initiated. And you'll notice in the pictures that - evidently, the "in" thing to do is go to a Christmas tree farm and do everything
but hunt for Christmas trees. See how many things you can find that we did instead of hunt for a tree. But really, it was fun. A grown up version of what we did as kids...
And have you ever wanted a
behind the scenes look at that Harry Potter: The Next Generation" thing? Or, really, since that was made up....don't ya just wanna see what I look like when I'm in action with the camera? These were interesting for me to see (my mom took the pictures) because I don't know that I've ever seen a picture of me with my camera in hand.

Next up, Iliya's 3rd birthday!!
Still be looking out your back door from time to time to see if I have arrived with my tent yet! 0 this morning and we were out of power for several hours last night. Wind storm. Major wind chill factor too. Of course we had hardly any candles and no back -up source of heat. I'd just loaded the kids up to go to grammies when I realized I couldn't get the garage door up without electricity. Ours is old and lame and only Dan knows the trick and he was caught offshore at one of the cross inlet oil stations. So, just when I was clueless as to what to do next ... the power came on. To top it all off I had a NASTY cold yesterday and felt like poo! It was so much fun.
Visit us in the summer, K?!
Can't wait to see you all this weekend!
