Just 'Cause I'm Lazy
We've had a very busy weekend - Friday, my grandmother had open heart surgery to replace her aortic valve. I apologize for not blogging about it, but in our haste to leave town, I just forgot to update. The surgery went extremely well (the doctor says that she is otherwise healthy as a horse - I hope I am in such good shape when I am 80+ years old!!) and well, since we were cooped up in the hospital for a good length of time, Iliya got to spend quality time with grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Once he warmed up, he had a great time, leading close family members all over the hospital. Our question was never, "who's got Iliya??" Rather, it was "who does Iliya have?" - at one point, my brother came back with Iliya and said that they had ridden the tram, gone on the elevator - stopping at each possible floor, gone in the parking garage, and almost gotten into a few places they were not supposed to go. Iliya can be a slippery little guy - but he did really well.

He slept very well on Friday, and almost all the way home on Saturday. Saturday evening, he slept like a log, and then today (Sunday), he took a 4 hour nap and was also ready for bedtime when it rolled around.

Hopefully, he'll be completely rested and in the swing of things by Tuesday.

And because I am lazy & my brain cannot think of another thing to write, I will leave you with a video. I've actually been trying to get around to editing this for the past 2 weeks, but you are just now getting it. The bus you see in the video was one of Iliya's Easter gifts. He loves it - I think I have mentioned his obsession with school (and any sort of) buses.

So...(*yawn*)...enjoy!

Cute little stinker. Reminds me of a couple of 18-wheeler toys I had when I was little that I would ride around the house like that.

He's a cute one!
