What does an bubble lawnmower with an empty tank + a recipe from
this page equal?
A very happy boy!
Iliya was determined that he would play with his bubble mower when he got home this evening. The problem is that when we all got home, it became apparent that the bubble mower was out of bubbles.
Now, I am nothing, if not a tiny bit resourceful...and it just so happens that I've made homemade bubble solution before. I knew that the good recipes require glycerin (and can you imagine? I actually had some glycerin on hand) but I couldn't find my recipe. So I ran to the computer, g00gled a quick recipe (there are so many) and selected one that didn't require a gallon of water and that did require glycerin.
Needless to say, Iliya was very happy that he was able to play with his bubble lawnmower.
For about 2 minutes. And then it was time to swing.
Here's the quick recipe I made - I doubled it, actually, so we would have some for later:
National WIldlife Federation Bubble Recipe
from NWF Backyard Buddies
1/4 cup liquid dishwashing detergent
3/4 cup cold water
5 drops of glycerin (available in pharmacies or chemical supply houses)
Love,
Andrea
Just kidding...I know that I have plenty of grandparents and family that would be a little upset about the safety on that one.
