give a kid some chalk

...and he learns that this is the acceptable place to draw with his chalk.

Yet...after he goes to bed, his parents happen to notice that - despite their vigilance and the reminders - the chalkboard is not the only surface that the child experiments with.

Just like his mama -- when she was 2, asked her daddy (while he was watching tv) how to spell his name & her mommy found it written in scribble behind the lamp, in the living room, on the wall. At best chalk wipes off most surfaces...ink is a little more indelible. Besides, the back of the chair looked a little like the chalkboard surface. Oh, the memories! :o)

I enjoyed catching up and reading about your daily adventures. Iliya is so adorable. I'm glad you were able to meet Keith and Becky. It is nice to live close. We are lucky to meet up with others in Nashville too.

Glad you are enjoying your summer!

Well it WAS black wasn't it?! What a little Picasso in the making!

In fairness to Iliya - I think the chair gives a better chalk effect! :)
