We may or may not ever be able to make an announcement that "we're pregnant"...but we have come to understand that the blessing is the fact that however parenthood happens, it is a miracle! ....... Now we have been home with our precious blessing from Russia since August 2007. Join us on our fun and crazy ride that we call "life with this child of mine."

To my Small Child -
I know you come from the land of ice and snow. And while I will never apologize for bringing you into our life (and us into yours!), I will readily apologize that we have to live in a place where there is no ice and snow. The snow you saw this past weekend may be the last you see for many years. The two snowballs we were able to create from the light covering of snow on the patio table may be the only snowballs you see for quite some time.

So I hope you had fun in the "winter wonderland" that happened this weekend...and even though it wasn't really a winter wonderland, I still had fun playing with you.

Love,
Mama

P.S., I added the snowflakes for effect :)

Looks like a good time was had anyway. You did get a good bit more snow than we did 'way up north in Scottsboro! I like the snow you added to the slide show!
Blessings,
Pam Parker

P. S. --- I love (just noticed) the new family photos you added to the bubble-share slide show on the left side of your layout. They bring that photo-journal up to date in a beautiful way!
Praise the Lord for your beautiful family!
Blessings,
Pam Parker

Looks like he had fun with the little bit you had. Cute slideshow and letter.

Cute pictures! And the snow effects???? Very nice touch! You are so creative. Iliya appears to be a very happy boy! I'm sure that he doesn't mind the mild weather. Have you seen what type of weather they are having in Vlad right now? Yikes!

I had to come by your blog and catch up after a long absence from blog land. I love the various posts from the one about gravity on. Good to hear that your PPR #1 is completed. How did it feel to be sending paperwork to CHI again already? YUK! Not looking forward to that one. I am a bit envious of the sweepable snow you all have. I got a great back workout shoveling last week. This week, after a 40 degree warm up over the weekend, all that was slush is now ice and not shovelable. I thought my housekeeper would kill herself on the walk coming up to the house today. She made it but I did think of calling the insurance to make sure we are covered in the event of a fall! I am trying to get some pics up this week at least. We had professional pictures done in Anchorage this weekend. I hope to post them this week too. My husband didn't shave or smile for them. I guess I should have paid better attention to getting all 4! of my kids ready for pictures. Oh well?! Speaking of Fed EX ... I could seriously send you all the good ol' Alaskan snow/ice chunks you want. Less for me to shovel! :) Hope you all are doing well! Love, Alicia

Iliya is so adorable. I agree with others that not having snow gives you a reason to take a Winter vacation. I too wish we got more snow too. I enjoy my warmer falls and springs, so I guess I'll just make do.

I've gotten many good ideas from reading your blogs and you give us hope and inspiration for hanging in there! Iliya is so adorable and you all look so happy! Hope you don't mind, but we are adding you on our blog?
Thanks!
