We may or may not ever be able to make an announcement that "we're pregnant"...but we have come to understand that the blessing is the fact that however parenthood happens, it is a miracle! ....... Now we have been home with our precious blessing from Russia since August 2007. Join us on our fun and crazy ride that we call "life with this child of mine."

Fun With Cooking
Okay, so not really cooking - but we've found that Iliya whines much less while I'm cooking, if he is held up so he can see. That is often not really feasible - #1, because he is so heavy & #2, there are other things that need to be done while I'm cooking & Nathan can't stand there & hold him the whole time. So we discovered that Iliya really enjoys the stepstool. We have to place the stool so that he won't inadvertently stick his hand in hot food or anything like that -- so we put it at the sink. Usually, the sink will be empty, but last night, there were lots of dirty dishes that needed to be loaded into the dishwasher - so Iliya had lots of fun stuff to play with, under Nathan's supervision.
