And the Mother says, "Wow!"
As we were driving home yesterday afternoon, Iliya had his ballcap in his lap. In the ballcap were a few rocks. I can't say that I'm a very interactive mother when I'm driving - something about safety - but sometimes, we talk or sing songs as we drive down the road.

Yesterday, during the drive home, I heard Iliya transferring rocks from his ballcap to the cupholder on his car seat. I heard "one...two..." and I started repeating the numbers after he said them.

He then did something amazing (at least for me, it was amazing).

He counted to 10, all by himself. Good thing I had a seatbelt on, because I could've fallen out of my seat.

Don't believe me (or just wanna see)? I actually was able to get this on video once we got home.

Click here, if it doesn't work for some reason.

How awesome is that???

We only go up to three - "two" being the favorite.

We can almost get to twenty, but the middle part gets a little messed up. But we've had a lot more practice.

I love the little smug look on his face at the end.

YAY! Good job, Iliya, you're doing a great job teaching your mom to count - next time see if she can do it without your help! I'm sure she'll need your help though - parents need all the help they can get! And how sweet -about the onion post - how precious! And please don't let Aunt Cher get all your "sugar"!
love
sis
