Wow...when those teeth start coming in, watch out!
Nathan had to work late last night, so he was not home in time to go to church...Iliya was cranky and extremely tired, so I kept him home. He is usually an early-to-bed little guy...but last night, he took an early bath, we read a book, and he went straight to bed. I rocked him, put him in his bed, and was pulling his door closed at 6:55 last night. He slept straight through until almost 7:00 this morning.
And he cried and whined ALL morning. I gave him some tylenol to help with the pain of his teeth. As I was changing his clothes, he was crying, and I had a pretty good view of the inside of his mouth. I noticed that one of his upper 2-year molars (the upper right, I believe) is trying to come in as well.
If you feel around the 2 teeth he is trying to cut right now, the teeth themselves are not out, yet, but you can feel the sharp edges of the tooth, trying to make it through the gums. I can only imagine how painful that is! I don't remember cutting baby teeth, but I sure remember when my wisdom teeth started coming in. If his pain is anywhere near the pain I experienced, I really feel for him. Bless his little heart.
Despite the crankiness caused by teething, Iliya remains a pretty happy child. Have you been
elfed? We had "been there, done that" last year...but my inbox has been flooded with people elfing themselves this year! As I watched one yesterday afternoon, Iliya
really got into it. So I decided to have a little fun & 'elf' him. He got the biggest kick out of it...and I got a great video of him dancing along with the elf. Unfortunately, I'm not able to post it right now. But if I get a chance, I will post it tonight, after little one is in bed.
Have a great day!!
I got a goooood chuckle out of your first line about he teeth...LOVE your writing!
