And it strikes again... (updated)
I think I am doing better, and my fever goes up this afternoon. I guess I'm gonna have to go to the doctor tomorrow morning, to see if we can get this sorted out. Which stinks really bad, but I am just ready to feel better, and NOW!

The upcoming weekend is Easter, and we have a big weekend of visiting family planned...Please pray that I will start down the road to recovery tomorrow. I need to be able to enjoy time playing the proud mama-to-be...and so many people are so excited to hear about our experiences and see pictures of the little guy!

Anyway, sorry to be such a downer these days - I feel like all I do is complain about being sick and feeling lousy!

Alright - just didn't want you to think I had fallen off the face of the earth...I'm still here, even if holding on by a thread!

**Okay, okay, I went to the doctor. He said he thinks that since I am keeping a fever, that I probably picked up a bacteria. He gave me some antibiotics and some medicine to help with my gastrointestinal issues. He also told me to up my white starches (as if I could up them any more!) and that once I start taking my antibiotic, I should really be on the road to recovery.

So I'm home, now, took my antibiotic (forgot that it makes me sick if I don't take it with food, so after a bout w/ nausea, I'm trying to eat something) and I'm going to head to work in a few minutes. I know I should probably rest instead, but I'll have car rides in which to rest this weekend.

So there's the update - I can't wait till I'm over this and can post about more interesting things, like how I miss my child and how beautiful the azaleas are around here right now.

For now, I must get read for work. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers!

Melissa,

I'm sorry to hear you're still not 100%. You poor thing. Around our parts we've had a virus going around that's presenting just as a fever that hangs on for a very long time. I had Morgan at the doctor when her fever had lasted 8 days straight, but no other symptoms. The Dr. said that was what he was seeing in his office day in and day out--fevers that are lasting anywhere from one to two weeks, but it's all viral. Maybe that's what you've caught???

Anyway, I hope you get better very soon and enjoy the Easter family time. Next year you'll be hiding eggs for little Ilya!

Melissa, we were in Russia the same time you were there. We met and accepted a beautiful boy and girl from Yekaterinburg. I can't imagine how hard it must have been for you given how sick you were. We were exhausted every day just from the travel, emotions, and road trip between orphanages each day. Here's a bit of sunshine and hoping you feel better soon.

I'm so sorry you are still sick! When we got home, I was sick for almost 10 days with fever off and on, nausea, vomiting, upset stomach, all of it! Then, a month later, I got a virus with fever and upset stomach. I felt awful so I know how much you really don't feel like bloggin! I hope you get better soon!! Maybe the antibiotic will kick in in the next day or so. Have a wonderful Easter!
