• This region is about an 8 hr. flight from Moscow (at the end of the Siberian Railway, from what I understand?) For the first trip, we'd likely go through Seoul, S. Korea, since we don't have to go to Moscow on the first trip. However, on the 2nd trip, we'd make an in-country flight from Moscow to Vladivostok and back to Moscow again.
• At this point, there are no additional documents we need to take care of in order to send our dossier to Vlad. Before our 2nd trip, there will be a few that we'll need to update/create.
• There are no families (with our agency) registered - at this time - who are waiting for infant/toddler boys, so our referral could be fairly quick *** (read the fine print at the end of this post)
• The time between first trip and second trip in Vlad is generally 4-5 mos.

• This region is within driving distance of Moscow
• There are quite a few additional docs we need to take care of in order to get our dossier ready to submit. And then before our court date, there are more we'll have to complete
• There are 14 families (with our agency) registered - at this time...6 families waiting for boys, and the rest are waiting for girls or "either" gender.
• The time between first trip & second trip is typically about 2 months.

Having said all that, I spoke w/ M again, and she said that they typically say it takes several months to get a referral, once your dossier is registered. So for you family who are reading this...this is the fine print: a quick(er) referral does not mean "home by Christmas" Ha ha, that was a little extreme, but it's true, even a quick referral will likely take a little while.
