Good Afternoon!!
Good afternoon! What a day - First, let me say that my jewelry party (last Thurs night) was a complete success - Shannon S. was SO good to host it! I got to see a lot of friends from church as well as meet some new people that Shannon knows outside of church. If you bought jewelry on Thursday night (or anytime, really), you may not know it, but you are contributing to our adoption fund...and we really appreciate it!! If you are interested in seeing what the hype is all about, you can visit http://www.princessandthebee.com and browse around. My sister, Sarah, & I been making jewelry since last November, and have just had a great time with it. And it ends up being a timely hobby, since it is now helping me raise money for our adoption fund.

So enough about that! This evening, Nathan & I are supposed to go to B'ham to eat with some friends tonight...and before we went to their house, we were going to stop by the USCIS support center in B'ham to get our fingerprints done to finish that part of our application for the visa for our child. Well, we'd received a letter last week saying that we needed to now get the fingerprints done and that we needed to take our appointment letter with us. The B'ham office is open Tues - Sat. so we figured if we went today (we're going to B'ham anyway, right?) we could go on a day when we DIDN'T have to take off work to get the prints done. The thing that was not mentioned in the letter we got was that an actual appointment letter would be mailed to us -- we figured that we would just go and present the original letter & get our fingerprints done -- voila! So right before we left, I ran out to check the mail, and THERE was our actual appointment letter -- good thing we didn't go on without checking the mail!!! So anyway, our appointment is on June 6 right in the middle of the day! So much for trying to NOT take off of work! Oh well...C'est la vie!! ;)

But we still have to get our fingerprints done for ABI/FBI clearance for our homestudy, so I guess we'll have time to try & get that done before heading to Birmingham this afternoon. However, if I don't get off the computer, we won't be able to get that done, either! So I'd better run -- hope you all are doing well...

I hope to be more coherent & less rushed the next time I post!!! Bye for now!! :)
