We may or may not ever be able to make an announcement that "we're pregnant"...but we have come to understand that the blessing is the fact that however parenthood happens, it is a miracle! ....... Now we have been home with our precious blessing from Russia since August 2007. Join us on our fun and crazy ride that we call "life with this child of mine."

The Power of Sleep
Yesterday, Iliya...
  • Went to Vacation Bible School in the morning
  • Had 3 runny poops
  • Literally picked at his food all day
  • Ran a fever for about 30 minutes in the afternoon (I didn't know that was possible - we got home in the afternoon, he was fine. I checked his temperature just to be sure, and he was fine. A little while later, he became lethargic, so I checked his temp again and it was 100.1. Thirty minutes later, he was up and running again...I checked his temp a third time and it was back down to normal. Strange...)
  • Told us at supper, that he wanted to skip his bath and go on to bed
  • Took a quick bath and went to bed at 7:15... and was out almost immediately
This morning, he woke up at about 7:00. I asked him if he slept well, and he said, "Yes." And, after having a moment of realization, he cocked his head and looked at me and said, "Hey! My tummy not hurting anymore!"

Sometimes, sleep is just the best medicine.
