News Article
I just thought that y'all might like to see this...it was in today's Tuscaloosa News...
Very nice article. How did you get them to do it on you? Or did they come forward on their own?
That is funny about "the box." We have "the book." I said I was going to strap it to my middle one day so people could see that I was growing. Of course lugging that thing around for 18 months would get a little tiring. I just carry it with me everywhere in my backpack. Sort of a monkey on the back kind of thing.
Thanks!! No, I never would've *asked* to be featured in the newspaper...it just sorta came to be. Actually the writer is one of our good friends who approached us with an interest in following us through the process. It took us a lot of thought and prayer to decide to do it, mainly b/c I'm not a "live in the spotlight" kind of person. But ultimately, we decided that maybe, through our experiences, someone could be touched or helped. So that's what sealed it for us.
The next installment won't be for a while -- but I'll be sure to post when it's out! :)
"When I was very young, most of my childhood heroes wore capes, flew through the air,
or picked up buildings with one arm. They were spectacular and got a lot of attention.
But as I grew, my heroes changed, so that now I can honestly say that anyone who does
anything to help a child is a hero to me."

"I'll love you forever I'll like you for always, As long as I'm living My baby you'll be."
~Robert Munsch
"Beginnings are scary, endings are usually sad, but its the middle that counts the most. Try to remember that when you find yourself at a new beginning"
~Hope Floats
"Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle"
~Fleur Conkling Heylinger
"The real issue in life is not how many blessings we have, but what we do with our blessings. Some people have many blessings and hoard them. Some have few and give everything away."
