Hooray! Amy called and our homestudy is sealed up in a FedEx box, awaiting pickup for delivery to the State of AL DHR at about 4-ish this afternoon!
As soon as we receive our "dossier copies" of the homestudy as well as a few other documents Amy has to finish up for us, we will be taking a day off of work to carry them to Montgomery for all of the docs to be apostilled.
As soon as everything is apostilled, we send it all to CHI for review & the addition of other documents. While they are reviewing it and making sure everything we have is CORRECT, we will be waiting for our I-171H letter to come back from the CIS. Once that comes to us (which will be a few more months, still), everything will be ready to be bound for Russia!
So we are not quite in the indefinite waiting period yet, but we are *almost* to the point of everything being out of our hands and control! I will keep you all updated!
P.S., y'all are being AWFULLY quiet these days! No questions or comments to add life to the blog? :o)
