Reading the 'Russia Book'
For Father's Day 2007, I made Nathan a book using one of those online bookmaking programs. We keep it in the dining room, and it's not unusual for Iliya to bring the book to us to read.

Tonight...

Iliya: Who's this, mama?

Me: That's Lana and Irina.

Iliya: What are they doing?

Me: Well, they're helping mama & daddy.

Iliya: Why?

Me: Well...for one, they were helping us, because we can't speak Russian.

Iliya: I can speak Russian.

Me: Oh, you can?

Iliya: Yes. Paka paka paka!

How cute. If only he sang it, he could serve as his audition for the Russian version of N Sync.

Dima's Russian word is 'blini' because we told him it was the same as pancakes and he LOVES pancakes. So glad they are retaining the language. ** wink ** :)

Hummmm makes one wonder what Paka, Paka, Paka really stands for or means. I don't speak English very well, so Russian is out. LOL.
